The Staffs and Worcs 250th Birthday Celebration

This year is a very special year for the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.

The Staff and Worcs was opened in 1772, 250 years ago.

In order to celebrate the canal’s historic milestone, the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal Society is planning to hold a ‘250th Birthday Celebration Rally’.

This event will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 27th – 28th.)

The boat rally is to be held below the unique Bratch Locks, which will give everyone the opportunity to visit and enjoy the beauty and heritage of the canal, and be a part of an historic period in the Staff and Worcs canals history.
