65ft Harborough Marine Narrowboat Boat For Sale

Archelon is a 65ft cruiser stern narrowboat built by Harborough Marine in 1985. The boat has been fitted out perfectly for continuous cruising, which is what we have been doing for the past 5 years. It has 1 starter and 3 cabin batteries charged by engine alternator when cruising and 2 large solar panels which sufficiently power everything we need. We never have to run the engine for power alone and the 12v supply also feeds a 240v a/c inverter for possible use of microwave / power tools when required.

Archelon has been well looked after, is very spacious and has a light, airy interior. The kitchen / dining area is a massive open plan space with pot belly heater, Belfast sink, full size gas cooker and 12v fridge freezer. Hot water is supplied to the taps and shower by an on demand gas boiler. The toilet is pump out with a substantial holding tank. There is a large sleeping area amidships with a comfy double bed and plenty of wardrobe / storage space. The sitting area has a large vintage sofa that can convert to a double bed, log storage area and a second multi fuel burner which keeps the boat nice and warm during the winter.

Archelon has Lister ST3 air-cooled engine which is regularly serviced. The boat was last blacked (with new anodes fitted) in late 2019. An ultrasonic hull survey was also carried out, where it was found to be in great condition. It has a full safety certificate. Archelon is for sale at £55000 ONO.
