NB Cobwebs - 50ft Calcutt Cruiser Stern Narrow Boat

Cobwebs has been owned by us since 2012 and we believe had one previous owner from new.

She has been lightly cruised on the Middle Level and Great Ouse system and we have ensured she has been serviced and well maintained.

A super boat for living on or holidays; easy to maneuver and ample storage onboard and ready to cruise and enjoy.

Good headroom for tall owners (I am 6’3”).

We are selling her as we are planning a move to Scotland.

Spec: flat hull, Calcutt fit-out, permanent double berth, Rockwool insulated, Hopper windows, side hatch with wooden liner, front steel doors with wooden liner (new August 2015), wood rear door with painted panels.

Engine: BMC 1.8, four-cylinder, keel cooled, PRM 150 gearbox, 47-gallon diesel tank. Regularly serviced.

Engine serviced August 2020.

Hot water from the engine.

Water tank capacity 190 gallons. Tank located on the front deck. Recently painted with Vactan.

Batteries: 1 starter and 3 domestic (all 12 v electric system).

Solar panel: 2 fixed roof panels, internal control panel with USB charging unit (fitted 2015).

Lighting: 12v.

Hull repainted October 2013 by Little Ouse Moorings (paint reference details available) and brass plank racks fitted,

Last blacking – August 2020 and prior to blacking the hull was professionally surveyed.

Previous Blacking: 2013, 2015, 2018.

New Boat Safety Certificate until June 2024

During our ownership (2012 to date) all work has been done by professional boat engineers and fitters. Front doors, easy deploy Anchor & chain rear deck, kitchen, and heating system fitted by Fox Narrowboats of March and complies with current safety standards with double skin flue and seated within enclosed floor pan.

L shaped kitchen: original kitchen and flooring removed and new refit June 2018.

5 cupboards with internal lighting and 1 drawer unit. Oak effect worktops. Stirling sink and new taps. Original Vannette GG7000 cooker (4 ring, separate grill, and oven) and LEC fridge. All 12v.

New wider steps installed 2017 with storage under. Windows both sides. 2 x Fire extinguishers and 1 fire blanket, coat and key rack. Brass curtain rails and curtains and window blind. (The new kitchen has ample storage and the cupboard internal lighting makes it easy to find items. No more scrabbling at the back of cupboards. The new layout means we have ample work surfaces to prepare food and also the option of using one side as a breakfast bar.)

Lounge area: Radiator, side hatch, window, new Morso Squirrel back boiler multi-fuel stove fitted 2019 and new insulation fitted behind the fire and retiled,

Bedroom: Door to fixed 4′ bed and mattress with under bed storage one half, and two under bed drawers other half, over bed double cupboard open-fronted, light fittings on the wall at top of bed, fixed wardrobe and integral shelf houses water for heating, fixed corner shelves, two windows and brass curtain rails and curtains, fixed mirror, wall mounted small table (pull up), fire extinguisher, novelty fairy door amuses young visitors, steps to the deck, access to the storage area under front deck houses water pump, double steel doors to front.

Front deck: water tank (cleaned & repainted 2019). Ample room for storage on deck.

Rear deck: new decking installed by us 2019. Housing for gas supply. Anchor point. Gas locker (2 bottles). Wooden external door. Bench seat.
