Ben Truman is a Traditional Stern Narrowboat built in 1994 by Evans & Sons Boat Builders. A professional fit out with a traditional layout. Propulsion is by a timeless Lister 39HP Diesel Engine.
Entering from the stern into the engine room the engine is found below the deck boards. There is an MPPT solar charge controller powering x3 separate solar panels on the roof. x3 domestic lead acid batteries and x1 starter complete the battery set-up onboard. A complete cruising kit is available.
Being a traditional layout we enter the master bedroom complete with a fitted double bed and sizable wardrobe space and storage. Following this is the shower room adjacent to the starboard side hatch. There is a vanity basin, Porta Potti, and a full stand-up shower fitted. Onward to the galley fitted with all the basic liveaboard necessities, a gas oven and hob, Electrolux fridge, and sink. There is even a plug & carry washing machine that comes with the boat should there be of use for it. Finally on to the saloon featuring the sole source of heating for the boat, the Morso Squirrel stove, and fitted L-Shape seating. A cratch cover completes a forward space for additional storage or a social area in the summer.
