It is with great reluctance I am selling the beautiful Dart. Originally built in 1936 as a riveted iron butty, Dart has subsequently been transformed into a 48ft trad narrowboat. In 2013 the hull was completely replaced beneath the waterline with modern steel by Simon Wain of Brinklow Boat Services (i.e. not overplated). Powered by a beautiful 1961 air-cooled Lister HA2 (completely reconditioned in 2015) Dart combines historic features with a refreshed hull and modern, practical fittings. She has been a wonderful liveaboard while CCing in London. Features:

– 22HP 1961 Lister HA2, completely reconditioned in 2015 by Steve Priest at Brinklow Boat Services

– Powerful 440W solar array with Tracer MPPT charge controller
– 2 110Ah leisure batteries (room for 4) and 1 starter
– Rayburn multifuel range with back boiler, providing full central heating, hot water, cooking and underfloor heating/heated copper towel rail in the bathroom!
– Morco f11-e LPG instant water heater
– Bosch gas hob with wok burner
– Thetford oven and grill
– Dometic 12V fridge with freezer-box
– Pioneer DAB radio with speakers built in throughout
– 3x side hatches
– Interior beautifully refitted in 2014, with reclaimed Belfast sink, Ottoman double-bed with hydraulic hinges and extensive under-bed storage, galley fold-out sofabed (also with significant storage), collapsible handmade waney-edged dining table, generous LED lighting and celotex insulation.
– The bathroom has a compost toilet (with two barrels for storing compost also included), reclaimed sink with gold-plated (!) taps, and a large custom-made shower featuring further gold-plating on the water-valve and hinges. There is also a copper towel rail, heated when the Rayburn is on.
