Hello
I am completely new to boating having never owned one. I have been on a friends narrowboat a few times before and love the lifestyle.
I will hopefully be in a position to buy a boat of my own before the year is out.
It will be just myself moving aboard so i will be looking for a vessel between 50 and 57 foot.
I will probably have lots more questions to ask.

If you feel its right for you go for it.
I would normally say hire a narrowboat for a weeks holiday first but as you know people living the life if you feel its right for you just do it.

Us too! We have everything in place and are just looking for the right boat now. We have have had many boating holidays over the last 20 years and now we have the chance to do it full time.
