Sawley Lock L1 is located on a navigational cut of the River Trent near Long Eaton. The site is easily accessed from the M1 motorway and Long Eaton railway station, making it convenient for Nottingham, Leicester, and Derby. It sits opposite Sawley Marina, which offers chandlery and boat repairs to non-marina customers.

– Site length: approximately 260 metres

– Berths: Up to 12 vessels moored against the towpath

– Suitable for both wide beams, canal boats.

– Type: Leisure mooring only (not residential)

– Access: Gated entrance; site-specific key required
