We are delighted to present an exceptionally characterful classic c.1984 Springer, meticulously renovated to a very high standard. All the work is done and everything’s been designed with the ease of future maintenance in mind, the boat’s in tiptop condition and we are looking for a buyer who will continue to look after her.

As the floating legacy to a dearly loved lifelong boat dweller, ‘Sal’ is a practical and ergonomically designed creative retreat. The professional craftsmanship as recent (2022) survey reports* and innovative features make this a unique and tranquil home on the water or floating pied-à-terre.

Equipped with a Wallas diesel cooker/hob and Webasto water heater, there is no gas aboard and the Victron, Fangpusen and LG electrical systems supply ample 12V and 240V to enjoy a self-sufficient liveaboard lifestyle.

The hull was shot blasted, comprehensively surveyed and blacked with three coats of Jotun Jotamastic 90AL two part epoxy paint which is good for eight to ten years. We are taking her back out of the water in the next fortnight to be surveyed and to be antifouled with three more coats of the Jotun Jotamastic two part epoxy. The engine bay is immaculate and easily accessible with a well maintained BMC 1.5 that purrs quieter due to the custom built silencer. She handles responsively underway (possibly due to the shallow V hull) and is certainly a really good size for navigating the waterways be that in Central London or further afield.

The Canal & River Trust who are the waterways governing body (and UK’s largest moorings provider) require all boats to be licensed each year in order to navigate the waterways they maintain [The 2021-2022 CRT longterm license for ‘Sal’ was £867.37]. ‘Sal’ is also relatively inexpensive to insure.
