The Barge Inn, HoneyStreet: stayed a few extra days as a result of an argument with a margue pole on the towpath.
This has got to be one of the friendliest pubs I’ve come across on my travels. It has the feel of a community pub, but that community is mainly campers and boaters, as little else around. It was the centre of the crop circle universe, and carries the story in a wonderful mural on the ceiling. definitely one of the best pubs this side of Alpha Centauri
This is an absolutely great pub. Great atmosphere, great crowd, great events. Love it!
